Aloe Vera

Very many types of aloe can be used for healing, but aloe vera is by far the most known. It is also the best at healing of the varieties. Sometimes there is difficulty figuring out which aloe plant is which, but aloe vera is easy to discern. There are few aloe varieties with a true yellow flower but aloe vera is one and this is how to distinguish from other aloes, which usually have orange flowers. Aloe reaches a height of about 1-2 feet and has a width of about 2-3 feet. It blooms in the spring-summer. It is a perennial with a rosette shape and it is native to South Africa. Aloe is both edible and medicinal.
