Alstromeria

Alstroemeria is a great bulb for the beginner gardener. Bulbs in general are rather different than perennials and annual plants, namely because bulbs are underground and not visible for periods of the year. Landscaping can be difficult with bulbs when you forget where they are and continually dig them up. Alstroemeria is a easy beautiful flowering bulb to grow, and the flowers are edible.
