Amaranth

Amaranth is a useful plant for most gardeners, being edible, medicinal and ornamental. It provides a good amount of food, has edible seeds, reseeds aggressively and there are many bright colors. Amaranth is an everblooming annual. It grows to 6 feet or more and a width of 5 feet. Be careful with amaranth setting seeds, you may regret it. Amaranth is a jewel in my landscaping repertoire, it grows without effort, you can make popcorn from the seeds and the leaves are a staple food in many countries.
