Sage

This is edible sage, the one you buy in the spices ailse in the grocery store. Sage is from the Mediterranean and grows excellent here in San Diego. It is both edible and medicinal and in Latin “salvere” means to save. Sage stays small about 30 inches tall and grows 2-4 feet wide. It is an early summer bloomer, and has purple-blue flowers. We should all have this sage in our landscaping, it is small, beautiful and delicious.
