Paddle Plant

A very popular succulent in dry San Diego gardens, paddle plant is a small plant, growing to about 1-2 feet tall and about a foot wide. It isn't as easy to grow as many popular succulents and doesn't propagate itself as readily as others. The plant can tolerate light shade. Paddle plant turns red under harsh conditions, so if you overwater it or its in too much shade you might have a green paddle plant that grows well. Paddle plant is quite common in landscaping so see if your neighbors have a pup you can have.
