Heavenly Bamboo

Heavenly bamboo is a common name, this plant is not a bamboo nor is it in the bamboo family. It does however grow without effort. There are some reports the plant can be used for medicinal purposes. The plant is common in San Diego landscapes, due to it's bright foliage and drought tolerance. It is a little tough to dig up if it gets established long.
